Removing the system fan
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the side cover.
- Open the PSU cage.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the fan duct and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Disconnect the system fan cable from the connector on the system board.
- Remove the single (#6-32) screw that secures the system fan bracket to the computer chassis.
- Slide the system fan and bracket out of the computer.
