Installing the optical drive

  1. Slide the optical drive into its slot in the system [1].
  2. Lift the hard drive and optical module [2]. Installing Optical drive
  3. Connect the optical drive data cable and power cable to the connectors on the optical drive [1, 2].
  4. Place the hard drive and optical module back on the system [3]. Installing Optical drive
  5. Connect the hard drive data cable and hard drive power cable to the connectors on the hard drive [1,2].
  6. Slide the release tab to lock the module [3,4]. Installing Optical drive
  7. Install the:
    1. Front bezel

    2. Side cover

  8. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer .
