Removing the display panel

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery cover
    2. battery
    3. base cover
    4. hard drive
    5. keyboard
    6. palmrest
    7. display assembly
    8. display bezel
  3. To remove screws from the display panel :
    1. Remove the M2.0X3 screws that secure the display panel to the display assembly [1].
    2. Lift the display panel and turn the display panel over to access the eDP cable [2].

  4. To remove display panel:
    1. Peel the adhesive tape to access the eDP cable [1].
    2. Remove the blue adhesive tape [2].
    3. Lift the metal tab display panel [3].
    4. Disconnect the cable and lift the display panel.
