Removing the network interface card

NOTE:The following procedure is for an optional component that is applicable for specific system configurations.

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the side cover.
  3. Remove the hard drive assembly.

Steps

  1. Locate the card riser on the system board.
  2. Push and hold the securing tab on the card riser to disconnect it from its connector on the system board.
  3. Disengage the card riser from the hook on the system chassis.
  4. Remove the card riser from the system chassis.
  5. Gently pull on the network interface card to disconnect it from the card riser.
  6. Slide out the network interface card from the card riser.
