Installing the network interface card

NOTE:The following procedure is for an optional component that is applicable for specific system configurations.

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

Steps

  1. Place the network interface card on the card riser with it's connector facing the connector on the card riser.
  2. Align the bracket on the network interface card to the bracket on the card riser.
  3. Gently push the network interface card into the connector on the card riser to secure it.
  4. Place the card riser on the system board.
  5. Align the connector on the card riser to the connector slot on the system board.
  6. Press downward on the "Push" tab on the card riser to connect it to the connector slot on the system board.

  1. Install the hard drive assembly.
