Installing optional powered add-in-card

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

Steps

  1. Lift the pull tab to open the PCIe door.
  2. Connect the 6-pin power cable to the connector on the powered add-in-card.
  3. Insert the optional powered add-in-card into its slot on the system board.
    NOTE:Insert card into SLOT1 on the system board.
  4. Close the PCIe door.
