The following images indicate the location of the secondary 3.5-inch hard drive assembly and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
Disconnect the power cable and the black hard drive data cable from the connectors on the 3.5-inch hard drive.
NOTE:For secondary 3.5-inch hard drive, the other end of the black hard drive data cable is connected to the SATA1 or SATA2 connectors on the system board.
Unroute the power cable and the hard drive data cable out of the hook that is provided in the hard drive assembly.
Remove the (#6-32) screw that secures the hard drive assembly to the chassis.
Pull and lift the hard drive assembly from the computer.
NOTE:The orientation of the hard drive so that you can replace it correctly.
