Removing processor
NOTE:Depending on the configuration you order, you
may see either of the heat sinks as shown in the
image below.

- Follow the procedure in Before working inside
your computer.
- Remove the:
- cover
- hard drive and optical drive module
- heat sink assembly
- To remove the processor:
- Release the socket lever by pushing the
lever down and out from under the tab on the processor shield [1].
- Lift the lever upward and lift the processor
shield [2].
- Lift the processor out of the socket [3].
