Removing the system fan
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the microSD-card.
- Remove the SIM card tray for systems enabled with 4G LTE.
- Enter the service mode.
- Remove the base cover.

Steps
- Disconnect the system fan cable from the connector on the system board.
- Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the system fan to the palmrest assembly.
- Lift and remove the system fan from the palmrest assembly.
