Installing the display panel

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

About this task

NOTE The following steps are for Latitude 3120 systems.

The following images indicate the location of the display panel and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Connect the cables onto the system board.

Install the system board and tighten the screws.

Steps

Connect the display cable on the connector on the display panel.
Affix the rubber sticker on the display cable connector.
Affix the mylar tape to secure the display cable on the rear of the display panel.
Align the display panel with the display assembly. Gently snap the display bezel into place.
Replace the four screws (M2x2.5) to secure the display panel on the display assembly.
Gently flip over the display panel.
