Installing the touch-panel assembly

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

About this task

NOTE The following steps are for 2-in-1 systems.

The following image indicates the location of the touch panel assembly and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Secure the hinges to bottom chassis.

Align and place the display assembly.

Steps

Align and place the touch-panel assembly on the display cover.
Connect the display cable to the connector on the touch control board.
Affix the tape to secure the connector on the touch control board.
Connect the display cable to the connector on the display panel.
Affix the rubber sticker on the display cable connector.
Affix the mylar tape to secure the display cable on the rear of the display panel.
Gently snap the touch panel assembly into place.
