Installing the palmrest and keyboard
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the palmrest and keyboard, and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Connect the battery cable, keyboard Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC), and touchpad Flexible Flat Cable (FFC) to the system board.
- Place the palmrest assembly and the keyboard on the computer chassis.
- Align and place the base cover on the computer, and snap the base cover latches into place.
- Replace the nine captive screws that secure the palmrest assembly to the computer chassis.
