Installing the battery
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the battery and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Using the alignment posts, place the battery on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Replace the two screws (M2x3) that secure the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Tighten the captive screw that secures the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Connect the battery cable to the system board.
