Procedure

  1. Loosen the two captive screws on the base cover.
  2. Remove the seven screws (M2.5x5) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

  3. Pry the base cover from the top-right corner of the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
  4. Lift the base cover off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly from the right side of the base cover.

    NOTE: : The following steps are applicable only if you want to further remove any other component from your computer.

  5. Peel the tape that secures the battery cable to the system board.
  6. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.

  7. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to ground the computer and drain the flea power.
