Removing the system board
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the system board and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.

Steps
- Remove the two (M2.5x5) screws that secure the right display hinge to the system board.
- Peel the transparent tape, open the latch, and disconnect the display cable.
- Disconnect the power-adapter port cable from the system board.
- Peel and lift the mylar that covers the I/O-board cable.
- Disconnect the fan cable.
- Open the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable.
- Peel the tape that covers the USB Type-C port bracket.
- Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the USB Type-C port bracket to the system board.
- Lift the USB Type-C port bracket off the system board.
- Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
- Disconnect the touchpad cable from the system board.
- Disconnect the keyboard backlight cable from the system board.
- Disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board.
- Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the system board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
