Removing the 4-cell battery
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the battery and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Peel the tape and disconnect the battery cable, if applicable.
- Remove the five screws (M2x3) that secure the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Lift the battery, along with its cable off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
