Installing the M.2 2280 solid-state drive

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

Steps

Align the notch on the M.2 2280 solid-state drive with the tab on the M.2 card slot.
Slide the M.2 2280 solid-state drive into the M.2 card slot.
Place the thermal shield on the M.2 2280 solid-state drive.
Align the screw holes on the thermal shield with the screw holes on the M.2 2280 solid-state drive and system board.
Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the thermal shield to the M.2 2280 solid-state drive and the system board.
