NOTE:Flash (update) the BIOS before upgrading to a Gen4 solid-state drive.
The following image indicates the location of the solid-state drive (M.2 2230 or M.2 2280) and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
Remove the two screws (M2x4) that secure the thermal shield to the solid-state drive and the system board.
Lift the thermal shield off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Slide and lift the solid-state drive off the slot on the system board.
