Installing the speakers

About this task

The following images indicate the location of the speakers and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.

NOTE:The image is applicable to computers that are shipped with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU.

NOTE:The image is applicable to computers that are shipped with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU.

NOTE:The image above is of Dell G15 5511, and it is used for reference.

1. Using the alignment posts and rubber grommets, place the speakers in the slots on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
   NOTE:If the rubber grommets are pushed out of the speakers when removing the speakers, push them back in place before replacing the speakers.
2. Connect the speaker cable to the I/O board and route the cable below the USB board, if applicable.
   NOTE:This step is applicable to computers that are shipped with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU.
3. Connect the speaker cable to the system board and route the cable below the USB board, if applicable.
   NOTE:This step is applicable to computers that are shipped with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU.
4. Adhere the speaker cable to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
5. Route the speaker cable through the routing guides on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
