Installing the base cover
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

Steps
- Connect the battery cable to the system board.
- Slide the tabs on the top of the base cover under the rear I/O-cover and snap the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Tighten the four captive screws (M2.5x5) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Replace the two screws (M2.5x5) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
