Removing the wireless card
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
The following image(s) indicate the location of the wireless card and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secures the wireless-card thermal shield to the wireless card and palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Slide and lift the wireless-card thermal shield.
- Disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless card.
- Slide and lift the wireless-card from the wireless-card slot.
