Installing the base cover

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

Steps

Slide the tabs on the top of the base cover under the rear I/O-cover and snap the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Tighten the two captive screws (M2.5x8) on the base cover that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Replace the six screws (M2.5x5) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
