Removing the speakers
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.

Steps
- Disconnect the speaker cable from the audio board.
- Peel the tapes that secure the speaker cable to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Remove the speaker cable from the routing guides on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Lift the right and left speaker, along with its cable, off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
