About this task
NOTE: When installing this component, refer to the techsheet bundled with the service kit. This is only applicable for computers with the following Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) configurations that have Element 31 grease is applied to the CPU.

The following image(s) indicate the location of the system board and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Using the alignment posts, place the system-board assembly on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Replace the seven screws (M2x4) that secure the system board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Replace the screw (M2x2) that secures the system board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Connect the camera cable to the system board.
Adhere the tapes securing the camera cable to the system board.
NOTE: Step 9 to step 10 are applicable only for computers shipped with an infrared camera.
Connect the power-button cable to the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
NOTE: Ensure that the power-button cable is routed under the system-board assembly and is connected to the system board. Without performing this step, the computer will not power on.
Connect the left-fan cable to the system board.
Connect the keyboard-controller board cable to the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
Connect the touchpad cable to the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
Connect the speaker cable to the system board.
Connect the right-fan cable to the system board.
Lift the corner of the Mylar covering the system board.
Adhere the power-adapter port-cable to the Mylar.
Connect the power-adapter port-cable to the system board.
Connect the Alien head LED-cable to the system board.
Adhere the display cable to the system board.
Connect the display cable to the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
Adhere the tape that secures the display-cable connector latch to the system board.
Place the Type-C bracket on the system board and align the screw holes on the bracket to the screw holes on the system board.
Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the Type-C bracket to the system board.
