Removing the display hinges (laptop)

Prerequisites

CAUTION:The information in this removal section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
NOTE:The display-hinge removal procedure is applicable only for the Latitude 5350 laptop and not for the 2-in-1 configuration.
  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Remove the display assembly.

Steps

  1. Remove the six screws (M2.5x3) that secure the right and left display hinges to the display back cover.
  2. Lift the display hinges from the display back cover.
