Removing the camera (laptop)

Prerequisites

CAUTION:The information in this removal section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
NOTE: The camera removal procedure is applicable only for Latitude 5350 laptop and not for the 2-in-1 configuration.
  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Remove the display assembly.
  5. Remove the display bezel.
  6. Remove the display hinges.
  7. Remove the display panel.

Steps

  1. Peel off the conductive tape that secures the camera cable in place.
  2. Open the latch and disconnect the camera cable from the connector on the camera.
  3. Carefully pry and lift the camera from the display back cover.
