Removing the display assembly
Latitude 5350 laptop display assembly can be further disassembled to replace display bezel, display panel, hinges, display cable, camera, and display back cover.
Prerequisites
CAUTION:The information in this removal section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SIM card tray (for computers with nano-SIM card option).
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
Steps
- Remove the screw (M2x4) that secures the display bracket to the system board.
- Peel the adhesive tape that secures the display cable.
- Disconnect the display cable from the connector (LCD1) on the system board.
- Note the wireless card antenna cable routing, and remove the antenna cables from the routing guide on the fan.
- Disconnect the sensor cable from the system board.
- Remove the four screws (M2.5x4) that secure the left-display hinge and right-display hinge to the system board.

- Open the palm-rest assembly at an angle.
- Gently lift the display assembly off the palm-rest assembly.
