Enable the defragmenter
The defragmenter is an optional feature of the Small Files Storage Efficiency and must be explicitly enabled.
Steps

Log in to any node.
You do not need to be root but you need PRIV_ROOT privilege. Using sudo is typically enough.

Ensure that
Small Files Storage Efficiency is enabled using the following command:
# isi_packing --ls

Enable the defragmenter using the following command:
# isi_gconfig -t defrag-config defrag_enabled=true
