Procedure

  1. Remove the screw (#6-32 X 1/4") that secures the top-chassis fan to the chassis.
  2. Disconnect the top-chassis fan cable from the system board.
  3. Remove the top-chassis fan from the chassis.Image: Removing the top-chassis fan
  4. Remove the top-chassis fan cable from the routing guide on the top-chassis fan bracket.
  5. Push the rubber grommets through the holes at each corner of the fan to release top-chassis fan from the bracket.
