This is applicable for installing SupportAssist for Home PCs version 4.0 and above. If SupportAssist fails to install, it shows a specific error code on the bottom right of the screen.

1628 An invalid or unknown table was specified. Restart your computer and try to install again once. If the issue persists, contact Dell Technical Support.
1631 The Windows Installer service failed to start. Contact your company system administrator, application vendor, or contact Dell Technical Support.
1632 The Temp folder is either full or inaccessible. Verify that the Temp folder (C:\Windows\Temp) exists and you can write to it. If yes, restart your computer and try to install again. If no, then contact your company administrator for the access.
1633 This installation package is not supported on this platform. Reference the latest user guide to find supported models and platforms: Support for SupportAssist for Home PCs Documentation.
1635 This patch package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor or contact Dell Technical Support to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.
1636 This patch package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor or contact Dell Technical Support to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.
1637 This patch package cannot be processed by the Windows Installer service. You must install a Windows service pack that contains a newer version of the Windows Installer service.
1638 Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, go to Control Panel and then Programs and Features. Select the existing SupportAssist version, then right-click it and select Uninstall.
1639 ERROR_INVALID_COMMAND_LINE Contact the application vendor or contact Dell Technical Support to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.
1640 ERROR_INSTALL_REMOTE_DISALLOWED The current user is not permitted to perform installations from a client session of a server running the Terminal Server role service.
1641 Installation done, reboot initiated. This message confirms that installation is successful, and the computer is restarted.
1642 The installer cannot install the upgrade patch because the program being upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch updates a different version of the program. Contact the application vendor or contact Dell Technical Support.

9504 Not enough space is available in storage. Clean some files in the C: drive to create space and then try again to install. You may require 1 GB of free space in the C: drive to install SupportAssist.
9505 Platform not supported. You cannot install a SupportAssist consumer version on this platform or model. Contact your company system administrator.
9506 Operating system not supported. Upgrade the operating system and try to install it again.
9507 Directory creation failed. Restart your computer and try to install with admin privileges (as administrator).
9508 .cab download failed. Retry the install and confirm that the Internet connection is available throughout the installation process.
9509 .cab validation failed. Restart your computer and try to install again once. If the issue persists, contact Dell Technical Support.
9510 .cab decompression failed. Restart your computer and try to install again once. If the issue persists, contact Dell Technical Support.
9511 .msi download failed. Retry the install and confirm that the Internet connection is available throughout the installation process.
