This article provides information on PowerEdge AC recovery last power state behavior.
Question
Before 12th server Generation, if a forced ungraceful power down is asserted the last power state setting is not maintained.
For example if a 11G Sever is running, and the power is cut, when the power will be back, the server won't start automatically.
On PowerEdge™ 12th Generation (12G) and later systems if the power state is set to last, and a forced shutdown event occurs, the system will power back on if the AC is lost and then restored.
This setting can be configured in the BIOS on the server.
