How to Configure the Dell Data Security Server Administration Console

1. Sign in to the Dell Data Security administration console.

2. From the left menu pane, click Populations, and then Domains.

3. Click Add.

4. From the Add Domain menu:
   1. Populate the Domain DNS Suffix.
   2. Optionally, populate a port.
   3. Optionally, click to enable Secure LDAP.
   4. Populate a username and password of a domain service account.
   5. Optionally, populate domain aliases and click Add after each alias.
   6. Click Add Domain.

Dell Technologies recommends assigning appropriate privileges to each individual administrator to create an audit trail on access, data key requests, and policy changes.

3. Click the Add Users By Domain button.

4. From the Add Users By Domain menu:
   1. Select the domain in the top drop-down menu.
   2. Populate the Full Name of the active directory account to be added.
   3. Select either Common Name, Universal Principal Name, or sAM Account Name to search by.
   4. Click Search.
   5. Click the account in the search results.
   6. Click Add.

5. In the bottom right, click the refresh button.

6. Click the newly added account in the list.
7. Click the Admin tab.

8. Check all wanted administrator roles, and then click Save.

Entitlements are software licenses that are used to validate purchased software and are available:

• On select Dell hardware (on-the-box) at https://www.dell.com/
• In bulk volume by contacting a sales specialist

Volume entitlements must be uploaded to the administration console before activating a Dell Data Security product. On-the-box (OTB) licenses are activated after configurating the Dell Data Security product.

   3. Click Search.
   4. Click the account in the search results.
   5. Click Add Selected.
   6. Click Close.

6. In the upper right, click the refresh button.

7. Click Details for the newly added account in the list.

8. Click the Admin tab.

9. Check all wanted administrator roles, and then click Save.
