  • Understanding workflow changes
  • Verifying compatible resolutions

The branding for an Intel, AMD, or Qualcomm processor may be identified from both Windows and Linux. Click the appropriate option for more information.

Windows

  1. Click the Start button.
    Windows Start button
  2. Type about and then click About your PC.
    Selecting About your PC
  3. Locate the Processor specifications.
    Example Intel processor in Windows
Note: In this example image, the Processor value is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10850H CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.71 GHz. The 10 that immediately follows the i7- indicates that the processor is a 10th generation processor.
    Example AMD processor in Windows
Note: In this example image, the Processor value is AMD Ryzen 5 5625U with Radeon Graphics 2.30 GHz. The first number (5) that leads the 5625U indicates that the processor is a fifth-generation processor.
    Example Qualcomm processor in Windows
    Note: In this example image, the Processor value is Snapdragon(R) X Plus - X1P64100 - Qualcomm(R) Oryon(TM) CPU 3.42GHz.

Linux

  1. Press CTRL+ALT+T to open Terminal.
