概要: OpenManage Enterprise administrators may run across several errors (CGEN1008 and CSEC9002) uploading the certificate chain. Also, OpenManage Enterprise administrators may report challenges in procuring a certificate chain required by OpenManage Enterprise 4.0.x migration. This article helps OpenManage Enterprise administrators to bypass the certificate chain requirement using the backup and restore feature. 手順

To bypass the certificate chain requirement, follow these steps:

IMPORTANT: Do not use the procedure below if a certificate chain has been successfully uploaded to the appliance. Continue the migration using the certificate chain.
  1. Prepare the source appliance for migration (OpenManage Enterprise v3.10.x):
    1. Create a backup of the source OpenManage Enterprise appliance (v 3.10.x) using the Backup/Restore > Backup option.
    2. Once the backup is successful, shut down the source OpenManage Enterprise appliance.
    3. Create a new instance of OpenManage Enterprise with the same version as the source appliance. If needed, use the same IP or hostname details as the original appliance.
    4. Install the plugins that existed in the original source appliance.
    5. Restore the installation by using the backup file created in Step 1 using the Backup/Restore > Backup option.
    6. Once the restore is complete, proceed with migration by browsing Backup/Restore > Migration.
    7. Under Migrate Out, expand Step 1 Sign Certificate section and select Proceed with self-signed certificate option.
    8. Complete the next steps as mentioned in the "User's Guide" under "Migrate out an appliance" section.
  2. Start the migration in the target appliance (OpenManage Enterprise v 4.0.x):
    1. Using the Backup/Restore > Migrate option, start the Migrate In operation.
    2. Under Migrate In, expand Step 1 Sign Certificate section and select Proceed with self-signed certificate option.
    3. Complete the next steps as mentioned in the "User's Guide" under "Migrate in an appliance" section.
