The MAC address on the WD19/WD19S dock that is connected to your Latitude 5300 2-in-1 or 5400 Chromebook laptop does not automatically change. It happens when you change the MAC Address Pass-Through policy in Device Setting in the ChromeOS.
Disconnecting the laptop from the dock and redocking it allows the policy changes to take effect on the dock.
You must use the ifconfig
command to check the dock's MAC address (eth0, eth1, so on) after making policy changes.

Google's Chrome engineering group worked on resolving this issue with re-implementation and released Chrome Operating System update R77 to resolve.
This feature was available in some of Dell's previous laptops. However, this feature is not present for these particular computers.
You can use the following workaround to temporarily resolve this:
Every time that you make a change in admin.google.com you should:
Save your changes.
Unplug the WD19/WD19S USB type-C dock connector cable.
Plug it back in. Allow it to pick up and make the requested changes.
