No video displayed when the monitor is connected to a system using the USB-C cable
Dell UP2720Q monitor is shipped with a USB-C Active Thunderbolt 3 (TBT3) cable for connecting to a Thunderbolt 3 system for optimal video performance.
When this USB-C Active Thunderbolt 3 cable is connected to& a computer that only supports USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode (USB-C over DP), the monitor will not display the video.
Note: For computers that only support USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode, Dell Technologies recommends using a passive USB-C (MFDP also known as multi-function DisplayPort) cable. See the
Dell UP2720Q user guide for more information about cable options.

When P2719HC is daisy-chained to UP2720Q using the USB-C cable, there is no video or signal after the daisy-chained monitor is powered off or on. To resolve this issue, disconnect and reconnect the USB-C cable to recover.

Color Calibration when the monitor is in portrait mode
Note: Color calibration using the monitor's integrated colorimeter when the monitor is in portrait mode (vertical) is not recommended. Always calibrate when the monitor is in landscape mode (horizontal).
