Windows 10 Night Light is a blue light filter that makes your display use warmer colors at night to help reduce eyestrain.
Click the Start Menu and then on the left side click Settings (gear icon).
Click System.
Select Display.
On the right side of the Settings window, under Color and turn On the Night light switch.
The Windows 10 Night Light feature does not work on DisplayPort (DP) or HDMI-connected monitors through Dell Docks D3100 & D6000 series. These docks use DisplayLink to provide graphics output over a USB cable.
Windows 10 Night Light is not supported by DisplayLink graphics adaptive compression. Microsoft acknowledged this and stated the limitations.
DisplayLink is working on developing support for this feature and if successful it may be in a future release of their software. If you must have a similarly automated feature then F.lux, available from the Microsoft Store is a working alternative.
