Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the System Cover:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Looking at the rear of your PC, loosen the thumbscrew that secures the cover to the chassis.
Push the cover towards the front of the PC. Lift the access panel away when the securing lugs are released.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Hard Disk Drive (HDD):
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Please remove the System Cover.
This system can fit a single 2½ inch HDD in the front left-hand side corner of the system. Press the blue tabs toward each other and pull the bracket towards you out the front of the computer.
Lift the blue bracket up and out of the system.
Pull the two securing grommets on one side of the blue bracket away from the drive, the drive then should pull loose of the other side.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Solid State Drive (SSD):
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Please remove the System Cover, and Drive Assembly.
The M.2 2230 PCIe SSD:
You can find the slot for the M.2 in rear left-hand side corner of the system under the drive bracket. Remove the single screw securing the card to the motherboard.
The end of the card lifts up, grip it and pull it out of the connector and the system.
The M.2 2280 PCIe SSD:
You can find the slot for the M.2 along the left-hand side of the system under the drive bracket. Remove the single screw securing the card to the motherboard.
The end of the card lifts up, grip it and pull it out of the connector and the system.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Fan Assembly:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Please remove the System Cover.
The fan along the right-hand side of the chassis. Unroute the speaker cable from the front of the ducting.
Press the blue tabs in the middle of duct towards each other. Turn the fan assembly over and disconnect the fan cable.
Lift the ducting and fan away from the system.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Memory:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Please remove the System Cover, and Fan Assembly.
The memory slots are located underneath the fan assembly. Pull the securing clips on either side of the DIMM away from the DIMM to see it lift up out of the slot.
Pull the memory DIMM out of the slot and the chassis.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Coin Cell Battery:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Please remove the System Cover.
The coin cell battery is located between at the rear left-hand side of the system. Using a plastic scribe or similar tool, pry back the latch and release the battery.
Lift the battery up and out of the connector.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Internal Speaker:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Please remove the System Cover, and Fan Assembly.
The speaker is located at the front of the system. Disconnect the speaker cable from the motherboard.
Pull the tab on the rear of the speaker assembly and lift it out of the chassis
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the WLAN (WiFi, Wireless) Card:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Please remove the System Cover, and Drive Assembly.
The Wireless card slot is located in the front left-hand side corner of the system under the drive bracket. Using a non-metallic tool to pry open the WLAN card shielding cover.
Remove the single screw locking down the antenna bracket. Disconnect the WiFi antenna cables from the card. (The connector is a press stud and should pop off the card when you apply a little pressure.)
Pull the card out of the slot and the system.
