Keyboard Lights not Working on Alienware Laptops

The keyboard light on your Alienware laptop stops working after installing or updating Alienware Command Center. Also, a Keyboard HID device shows missing from device manager.

Cause information is not available.

Download and install the latest version of Alienware Command Center (Version 5.2.63.0 or higher) from Dell Drivers and Downloads page.

1. Browse to the Dell Drivers & downloads page:

   1. Area-51m
   2. Alienware M15 R2
   3. Alienware M17 R2
   4. Alienware 15 R4
   5. Alienware 17 R5

2. Locate the Alienware Command Center Application on the list and click Download.

3. Open File Explorer and browse to the location where the downloaded file is saved.

4. Double-click the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
