Why am I getting an error message when I attempt to create an account?
This email address already exists:
This error indicates that there is an existing My Account profile created using the same email address.
You can click Already have an account? Sign In, provide your email address and click Create or Reset Password to reset your password associated with the email.
The Customer Number is already tied to another member's profile:
This error indicates that you already have an existing account using that Customer Number.
Try to log in to the existing account, you can click Already have an account? Sign In, provide your email address and click Create or Reset Password to reset your password associated with the email.
What do I do if I have forgotten or change my Dell.com account password?
Select Account Settings and the select Profile Settings.
Select Edit Profile.
Select the "Change" button for Name, Email Address or Password, change the appropriate fields and click continue.
For security reasons, you are asked to either enter your Dell account password again or receive a one-time six-digit code to verify changes. As an added security feature, the application only allows for one password change request every 24 hours.
How do I change the phone number on My Account on Dell.com?
Select Account Settings and the select Profile Settings.
Select View All under Addresses.
Select Edit under the address and phone number that you want to update.
Make the wanted changes and select Update Address.
When you have finished, Sign-Out of your account for the changes to take effect.
