See this video on How to Deploy a Template.

Steps

1. Click Configuration > Templates.

2. From the Templates pane, select the template to be associated with VLANs. In this example, the MX740c Example Template is selected.

NOTE: With OME-M 1.20.10 and earlier, the Templates option is called Deploy.

3. Click Edit Network.
4. In the Edit Network window, complete the following:
a. Optionally, from the Identity Pool list, choose the wanted identity pool. In this example, an Identity Pool is not used.
b. Click Next.

c. Assign bandwidth (NIC Partitioning) to the ports and the partitions as required by your configuration, then click Next.
d. Optionally, from the NIC Teaming option, choose the wanted NIC Teaming option.
e. The NIC teaming option can be selected as No Teaming, LACP, and Other, as detailed in NIC teaming guidelines.
No Teaming = no teaming or redundancy set up on the hosts
LACP = Link Aggregation Protocol - makes the switch aware that the port has LACP to negotiate properly
Other = Switch unaware teaming on the hosts

NOTE: If using NIC Partitioning then switch-dependent teaming is not supported.

f. For all ports, from the Untagged Network list, select the untagged VLAN. In this example, VLAN 1 (VM Traffic) is selected.

The interfaces on the switch are updated automatically. SmartFabric configures each interface with an untagged VLAN and any tagged VLANs. Also, SmartFabric deploys the associated QoS settings. See the Networks and automated QoS section for more information.

To monitor the deployment progress, go to Monitor > Jobs > Select Job > View Details. This shows the progress of the
server template deployment.
