Resumen: Bij Windows Server 2016 wordt het bericht foutmelding op MPIO inschakelen ontvangen in Dell Storage Manager.

Síntomas

In Windows Server 2016 wordt de vlag die aangeeft of een functie al dan niet is geactiveerd pas ingesteld nadat het systeem opnieuw is opgestart.  In Dell Storage Manager wordt tijdens het uitvoeren van de serverinstallatiewizard de onderstaande foutmelding gegeven omdat de vlag niet is ingesteld.

Causa

Resolución

Tijdelijke oplossing:
  1. Installeer eerst MPIO op systemen met Windows Server 2016;
  2. Start de server opnieuw op;
  3. Bevestig dat MPIO is 'geïnstalleerd' door één van deze acties uit te voeren:
    1. Running PowerShell command: 
       get-windowsfeature multipath-io
        De "Install State" moet worden weergegeven als "Installed".
    2. Controleer het configuratiescherm van Windows op MPIO 
  4. Open Dell Storage Manager en voer de wizard voor installatie van de server uit. 
Als u de bovenstaande fout tegenkomt, start u de server opnieuw op en voert u de wizard opnieuw uit.

Resolutie:
De oplossing bevindt zich in de update van maart 2018 3B pakket KB 4088787 (wat een cumulatief pakket is).
Gebruik de PowerShell-opdracht om te controleren op geïnstalleerde updates:  
Get-HotFix |ft HotfixID, InstalledOn
