Follow the below steps, if you must change the RecoverPoint HTML5 plug-in server certificate.
The process is valid for a newly deployed RecoverPoint HTML5 plug-in virtual machine through "Configure plugin server" on the Deployer home page. This VM is not configured with RecoverPoint Cluster.
Access RecoverPoint HTML5 plug-in server appliance, using vSphere Console and login with the root user.
Create a backup of the existing cert and key files.
cp /etc/nginx/ssl/rpcenter.cert /etc/nginx/ssl/rpcenter.cert_bck
cp /etc/nginx/ssl/rpcenter.key /etc/nginx/ssl/rpcenter.key_bck
Delete the original files.
rm /etc/nginx/ssl/rpcenter.cert
rm /etc/nginx/ssl/rpcenter.key
Disable the firewall on the plug-in server by running /sbin/SuSEfirewall2 off.
Upload the new key and cert to /etc/nginx/ssl and rename them to rpcenter.cert and rpcenter.key.
Reboot the RecoverPoint HTML5 plug-in server appliance.
Register the plug-in server using Web Deployer Manager (WDM) and, by selecting option "Configure plugin server".
Enter RecoverPoint HTML5 plug-in server appliance IP and Validate certificate.
Once the certificate is validated, press Configure.
If the Plugin was properly configured and installed on vCenter, make sure you turn the Firewall on, use the command /sbin/SuSEfirewall2 on
.
In case you have configured the RecoverPoint HTML5 plug-in server appliance, and you do not want to redeploy the OVA, contact Dell Support.
A solution exists for this issue, but intervention from Dell technical support personnel is required. RecoverPoint Support team must perform some configuration changes. Contact the Dell Customer Support Center or your service representative for technical support and reference this Dell knowledge base solution ID.
