Symptoms
This applies to a LUN that is replicated, and has recently been extended.
When the user tries to restore a LUN from an older snapshot (before being extended), Unisphere will return an error:
The LUN cannot be restored because shrinking the destination of a replication session is not allowed. (Error Code:0x716f100a)

Cause
This is functioning as designed. A replicated resource cannot be shrunk as this will cause the replication destination to be shrunk which is not supported.
Resolution
Possible solutions:
- Either delete the replication session, then try to restore the snapshot, then re-create the replication session.
- Or manually access the data from the snapshot by attaching the snapshot to a host.
