How to find The Serial Number of a VNXe1 or a VNXe2 array.

There are 3 options to find the Serial Number on a VNXe array.
  1. EMC Unisphere (option 1)
    1. Log in to EMC Unisphere GUI.
    2. Go to Dashboard tab.
    3. The Serial Number can be found under "System Information" next to Product ID / SN:
kA53a0000004MjsCAE_1_0
 
  1. EMC Unisphere (option 2):
    1. Log in to EMC Unisphere GUI. 
    2. Go to the System tab and select System Health.
    3. The Serial Number can be found under "System Info" next to Product ID / SN:
kA53a0000004MjsCAE_1_1
  1. Command Line (Option 3):
    1. Open a SSH session to VNXe.
    2. Login using the service account credential.
    3. Run the following command: svc_diag.
Example:

service@(VNXe) spb:~> svc_diag

======== Now executing basic state ========
* System Friendly Host Name is: (VNXe)
* System Serial Number is: APM00110011001
* Current Software version: NeoMain-2.4.4.22283-MAGNUM-RETAIL
