Symptoms

Fingeravtrycksläsaren eller sensorn kanske inte fungerar korrekt eller så visas ett felmeddelande på inloggningsskärmen. Problemet uppstår efter en Windows-uppdatering.

  • Latitude 5000-serien
  • Latitude 7000-serien
  • Latitude 9000-serien
  • Bärbara Precision-datorer
Obs! Endast bärbara datorer med installerade fingeravtrycksläsare påverkas.

Cause

Broadcom släppte de aktuella versionerna av ControlVault-drivrutinerna till Windows Update-katalogen. Dessa paketinstallationsprogram inkluderade en digital signatur som upphörde att gälla den 26 september, vilket orsakade en ofullständig installation av paketet.

Resolution

Den berörda ControlVault-drivrutinen har degraderats från Windows Update-katalogen.

  1. Hämta de senaste Dell ControlVault-drivrutinerna och den fasta programvaran från Dell-webbplatsen Drivrutiner och hämtningsbara filer.
    • För Latitude 5x50, 5440, 7x50, 9450 2-i-1 och Precision 3480, 3x90, 3x91 och 5x90:
      • Ladda ner den senaste drivrutinen och fasta programvaran för Dell ControlVault3 (6.0.47.93 eller senare).
    • För alla andra bärbara Latitude- och Precision-datorer (se avsnittet Kompatibla system på drivrutinssidan):
      • Ladda ner den senaste drivrutinen och fasta programvaran för Dell ControlVault3 (5.14.15.22 eller senare).
  2. Följ installationsprogrammets anvisningar för att installera drivrutinen. Information om hur du laddar ner och installerar den fasta programvaran finns i Ladda ner och installera Dell-drivrutiner.
  3. Starta om datorn för att tillämpa ändringarna. Kontrollera om problemet är löst.
