Le BIOS Dell peut être mis à jour en dehors du système d’exploitation de l’ordinateur. Cet article explique comment mettre à jour le BIOS à l’aide de la fonctionnalité DELLConnect de votre ordinateur. Cette fonctionnalité a été mise à disposition pour la première fois sur les ordinateurs Dell en 2020.

- BIOSConnect attaché : La plupart des composants logiciels BIOSConnect résident sur la partition de service du disque dur. Le formatage du disque dur entraîne la perte des fonctionnalités de BIOSConnect.
- BIOSConnect hybride : La plupart des composants logiciels de BIOSConnect, à l’exception de la pile de pilotes sans fil, résident sur le firmware. Le formatage du disque dur affecte les fonctionnalités de BIOSConnect. BIOSConnect peut démarrer SupportAssist OS Recovery uniquement si votre ordinateur est connecté à Internet via une connexion Internet par câble.
- BIOSConnect intégré : Tous les composants logiciels BIOSConnect, y compris la pile de pilotes sans fil prise en charge, résident sur le firmware. La perte ou l’endommagement d’une partition de disque dur n’a pas d’impact sur les fonctionnalités sans fil de BIOSConnect.

Comment effectuer la mise à jour de firmware sans fil à l’aide de Dell BIOSConnect

Lorsqu’ils sont disponibles, les paramètres de langue des sous-titres peuvent être choisis à l’aide de l’icône CC de ce lecteur vidéo.
Remarque : Le mot de passe ADMIN est requis pour utiliser le processus DELLConnect, si un mot de passe ADMIN est activé sur l’ordinateur dans le BIOS.
Votre ordinateur étant hors tension, mais connecté à une source d’alimentation externe en état de marche, procédez comme suit :

Mettez l’ordinateur sous tension et appuyez sur la touche F12 lorsque l’écran de démarrage Dell s’affiche pour accéder au menu de démarrage unique.

Sélectionnez l’option Mise à jour flash du BIOS - À distance .

BIOSConnect détecte-t-il une connexion Ethernet filaire ?

Oui, une connexion filaire a été détectée. BIOSConnect télécharge la dernière mise à jour du BIOS disponible sur le site de support technique Dell. (Passez à l’étape 6.)

Non, il ne détecte pas de connexion filaire. BIOSConnect affiche la liste des réseaux sans fil détectés.

Sélectionnez votre réseau dans la liste, saisissez votre mot de passe réseau, puis appuyez sur le bouton de connexion.

Maintenant que vous disposez d’une connexion réseau, cliquez sur le bouton Mettre à jour le BIOS.

La version la plus récente de la mise à jour du BIOS est téléchargée sur votre ordinateur.

BIOSConnect affiche la version actuelle du BIOS et la version de mise à jour du BIOS. Cliquez sur Oui pour effectuer la mise à jour vers ce BIOS. (Lorsque les versions du BIOS sont identiques, vous avez la possibilité de quitter.)

Une fois la barre de progression terminée, la mise à jour du BIOS termine l’installation.

L’ordinateur redémarre sur le système d’exploitation.
