OpenManage Enterprise versions 4.0 and 4.0.1 contain a security vulnerability as described in
DSA-2024-184: Security Update for Dell OpenManage Enterprise Vulnerability
This issue is addressed in OpenManage Enterprise version 4.1.
Important Note: All customers are advised to upgrade to OpenManage Enterprise version 4.1 in the earliest possible update window.
If upgrading to OpenManage Enterprise 4.1 is not possible, and if debug logging is enabled in version 4.0 or 4.0.1, this article helps remediate the setup.
Follow the steps to in the below order to remediate:
- Disable debug logging from the Text User Interface of the OpenManage Enterprise Virtual Machine.
- Delete all devices from the devices portal, and run all the discovery ranges listed in Monitor > Discovery.
