Symptoms

Wanneer de Tenable scansoftware poort 9083 scant, mislukt het proces PowerPath Remote Management met mTLS waardoor uiteindelijk het maximale aantal socketverbindingen wordt bereikt en het bericht Opnieuw instellen van de verbinding door peer wordt geregistreerd.

 

Op de PPMA GUI wordt de status van de niet-verbonden verbinding pas in de volgende pollingcyclus weergegeven. Wanneer de pollingcyclus wordt uitgevoerd, wordt de server uiteindelijk weergegeven als verbroken in de GUI (ROOD).

Cause

Dit is een probleem waarbij het PowerPath voor Windows 7.2.X extern beheer met mTLS ingeschakeld de Winsock-verbindingen van niet-PPMA-servers niet correct verwerkt.

 

Resolution

De oplossing zit in de toekomstige release van PowerPath voor Windows, maar er is momenteel geen ETA.

 

De tijdelijke oplossing is om de service "EMC PowerPath Remote Management Component" opnieuw op te starten vanuit de Windows-services.
