The Latitude 7230 Rugged Extreme Tablet SIM card slot is not easily identifiable due to its inconspicuous location. The small opening poses challenges when it comes to inserting and properly positioning the SIM card. Moreover, removing the SIM card can be difficult, often resulting in it getting stuck. Because of this, the tablet may fail to detect the SIM card.

Dell Technologies recommends using the Micro SIM card without an adapter to ensure that the SIM card is working properly. If an adapter is required, Dell Technologies recommends that the Nano SIM card and adapter are from the same telecommunication company. This ensures that there is no thickness difference between the Nano SIM card and its adapter.
